Don't they have people for this kind of thing?

While I was eating breakfast this morning, I was watching one of the network morning shows (embarrass your kid and your dog by dressing them up in matching holiday outfits!) and when they cut to a commercial break, they showed a commercial for Spielberg's new guaranteed-to-piss-almost-everybody-off movie, Munich, followed immediately by an ad promoting tourism in...Israel.

Awkward.

Hehehehehe. How interesting. "Visit Israel! But don't shoot us or we'll hunt you down!" Israelis are tough people, and it's sad that they have to be. I'd rather visit Israel in the middle of a raging intifaadha than most Arab countries. It's scary. One wrong move in an Arab state and one can be hauled to prison. Having a US passport (and the US diplomatic missions' interest in one) may help. It could also be a one-way ticket to being executed by a mob for being a US/imperialist/Zionist/Israeli/Jewish/Freemason spy.

From what I hear about Munich, I won't be watching it. I'd have liked it if it were more of an adventure/action flick than moralizing about the effects of violence. I have always held that the use of force is an element that will be used at all times. Part of human nature: some things just cannot be solved otherwise. What MOSSAD did was excellent.
