i don't know if you ever read it, but this reminded me of a character from promethea, the alan moore comic. in the background of some shots was this ape that was always depressed. he would also say things like, i wish i was dead. or i am so unhappy. things like that.

oh yeah! what was he called *runs to find tpb* weeping gorilla comix. "go on ask me about my marriage" there's different stuff every time it shows up. fun, fun.
